Details: This beautiful home in Burlington, On was cramped and had 2 major separating walls that had to be removed to open up the space. A large steel beam was installed to take the weight of the second floor and was concealed with gorgeous douglas fir milled and stained. Throughout the main floor all of the trim was updated and a ¾ tall wainscot feature wall from the entryway to the kitchen was installed. Ceilings had existing popcorn plaster and was scraped and smoothed out. The electrical, plumbing and HVAC was also updated on this floor. We then utilized every foot of wall to increase the size of the kitchen providing a lot of working space. One of the greatest outcomes from this kitchen was that the owners opened up a baked goods business “The Sweet Mama Co” working from their new space. They can be found on Instagram @thesweetmamaco.
